BEFORE GRT

GRT Partners Rustam Mehta & Tal Schori have over 15 years of combined professional experience. The images presented here represent a small sampling of some of these works.

Prior to founding GRT Architects Rustam Mehta was a Senior Associate at Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects where he managed large projects for two very different client types: American universities and Chinese developers. Domestically Rustam managed the design team for computer science labs at the University of Texas Austin and the University of Indiana Bloomington as well as a business school for Tulane University in New Orleans. All were designed and delivered using Building Information Modeling (BIM) via Revit.  Abroad, Rustam spent much of his time in Shanghai & Shenzhen where he managed a team of international consultants working on a 14 acre masterplan including eight residential towers, a faceted high-rise and 1,400 parking spaces concealed by a terraced landscape.

Prior to founding GRT Architects Tal Schori was a Project Architect and Manager of Special Projects at Deborah Berke Partners. He oversaw architectural work ranging in scale from a 250 sf beach house to the 40,500 sf Dickinson College Residence Hall. On each project he was involved from initial concepts to construction. As Manager of Special Projects, he initiated programs that focused on design for the public good, designed, and installed exhibitions of the firm’s work, and was the editor of House Rules, a forthcoming book focusing on DBP’s residential work to be published by Rizzoli in the summer of 2016. Additionally, Tal worked as an architect at various offices in NY, LA, and Mexico City such as Michael Maltzan Architecture, REX, Arquitectura911, and Todd Williams & Billie Tsien Architects.
